- Provide English Learner (EL) students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in accordance with the district’s Spanish & English one-way dual language model, which includes the core academic subject areas assigned to support students fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
- Qualifications
- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree from accredited university Valid Texas bilingual teaching certificate with related training and work experience [One-Way Dual Language training provided by district after hire.] Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject areas assigned Demonstrated ability to instruct in both Spanish & English academically Special Knowledge/Skills: Understand the interrelated components of bilingual teaching/first & second language acquisition Knowledge of core academic subjects assigned Knowledge of curriculum and instructional best practices for online learning Strong knowledge of Internet and web-related technology Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to develop relationships and maintain consistent contact with student, parents, and colleagues in Spanish & English. Ability to support students with computer set-up, navigation, and technology issues Experience: Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
- Salary Range
- Starting at $52,100 $6,000 stipend
