- Marathon is a beautiful little town in the mountainous desert of Far West Texas. It is the gateway to Big Bend National Park. Marathon ISD is a designated P-TECH district with partnerships with two universities and two resort hotels. We are a 1A Public School District with a private school district setting. 23% of our teachers are either Exemplary or Master designated for the Teacher Incentive Allotment.

- The Superintendent will be highly skilled in working alongside our teachers, students, staff, and school board. Extensive principal experience is needed to be successful with maintaining academics, athletics, and all extracurricular activities. Central office experience will also be beneficial in healthy working relationships with TEA. Marathon is a family oriented community. Our Marathon Mustangs excel academically, athletically, and through the various fine arts community events.

- Superintendent Certification -Principal Experience - Must reside in the district (house is available) - Knowledge of Texas public school finance - Grant writing and donation activities desired

- Salary will be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
