Primary Purpose: Develop innovative partnerships with teachers through small group and one-on-one staff development that targeting exemplary best practices that result in student success.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Education / Certification: Bachelor’s degree and valid SBEC Teacher Certification in area of expertise (Reading /Language Arts or Math) Special Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrate expertise in teaching the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) ; understanding of beginning teacher development; knowledge of formative assessments; effective interpersonal skills and willingness to work collaboratively with teachers; effective coaching, and conferencing skills; demonstrate commitment to professional growth and learning; demonstrate effectiveness as a professional role model; demonstrate use of best teaching practices; understanding of and ability to use teacher development research; use of data to show successful implementation of research-proven best practices in your classroom Experience: At least three years experience as a classroom teacher with additional experience in instructional leadership roles
