- Major Responsibilities and Duties Provide classroom instruction to students; Support classroom instruction based on TEKS; Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to understand student needs, identify appropriate interventions, and modify curriculum for students, as needed; Gather and analyze data to monitor student progress towards goals; Meet with parents, counselors, and agency representatives, as needed; Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with research and best practices to be implemented in the classroom; Establish and maintain rules, conduct, and discipline consistent with District policies and procedures in order to foster an environment that is conducive to learning; Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures; and Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI) Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
