- Major Responsibilities and Duties: Promote the development of competencies and skills to function successfully in the educational setting and the community. Manage student behavior in accordance with his or her Individual Education Plan and the Student Code of Conduct. Provide or supervise personal care, medical care, and feeding of students as stated in IEP. Plan and supervise the work and activities of educational aides. Work in self-contained, team, departmental, or itinerant capacity as assigned. Effective Communication Skills Competent in progress monitoring and data collection. Facilitate ARD meetings and complete IEP documentation accurately in accordance with local, state, and federal policies and laws. IEP recommendations are made based on evidenced based measures and multiple sources of data. Attend required training and staff development
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with special education certification required
- Salary Range
- Competitive - based on LVISD Salary Schedule (current schedule 0-30 yrs: $50,000-$70,000)
