- Oversee, direct and manage all activities of the Alief ISD Police Department. Coordinate daily operations of department to provide safe environment for students and staff. Ensure enforcement of all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
- Qualifications
- Education/Certification: College degree Master peace officer certification and crime prevention certification issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of criminal investigations, police report writing, and criminal law Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, administrators and others from various socio-economic levels, cultures and ethnic backgrounds Ability to write and enter data into the police department computer Ability to manage budget and personnel Training and ability to subdue offenders, including use of firearms and handcuffs Bondable as required by Texas Education Code ยง37.081(h) Strong public relations, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience: Fifteen (15) or more consecutive years as a full time paid peace officer Five (5) years of command or supervisory experience in law enforcement equivalent of Lieutenant, Captain or above; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
- Salary Range
- Calendar Days:235 Pay Grade: P07 Salary Range Min. $ 105,797 Mid. $128,335 Max. $148,273 2024-2025 Salary Schedule 2025-2026 Salary schedule with 3% of midpoint increase approved by the Board. Salary schedule soon to be released. Salary is based on working 235 days. Working less days is less salary.
