- Serving as a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet, the Chief Schools Officer is a strategic leader responsible for ensuring continuous school improvement and enhancing the effectiveness of each of our schools. Leading the Office of School Leadership, this position plays a critical role in building the capacity of campus principals and administrators to provide strong instructional leadership and a collaborative culture of excellence. This leader possesses knowledge of effective school leadership, high quality professional learning, and quality school indicators. By establishing partnerships across departments, the Chief Schools Officer promotes the vision, goals, and values of the district while relentlessly pursuing exceptional experiences for each and every student in Arlington ISD.
- Qualifications
- Education/Certification: Master's Degree from an accredited institution Administrator's Certificate issued by Texas Education Agency Doctorate Degree preferred Minimum Experience: Five years of progressive, responsible, successful experience at campus and/or central administration level required; preferably experience at multiple levels - elementary school, junior high/middle school and high school. Previous principal experience required.
