- Aquilla Independent School District is seeking an experienced, student-focused leader to serve as the Junior High and High School Principal. This is a unique opportunity to join a small, tight-knit district committed to academic excellence, a strong sense of community, and the growth of every student and educator. Position Overview: The JH/HS Principal will be responsible for leading grades 6–12, managing day-to-day operations, supporting teachers and staff, and promoting a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a passion for rural education, strong instructional leadership skills, and a student-centered approach to decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Provide instructional leadership and support for all secondary staff Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful school culture Ensure strong student performance through data-driven decisions Lead campus initiatives that align with district goals and values Collaborate with families and the broader community Oversee campus operations, scheduling, discipline, and compliance Support college, career, and military readiness (CCMR) efforts

- Qualifications: Texas Principal Certification required Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field Successful leadership experience preferred Demonstrated success in instructional leadership and student achievement Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
