- The Director of Finance and Business Services is responsible for leading and overseeing all financial operations of the school district. This position ensures sound fiscal management aligned with state and federal laws, district policies, strategic priorities, and educational goals. The Director of Finance supervises accounting, payroll, auditing, and reporting functions and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support fiscal transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
- Qualifications
- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or Master’s degree preferred) TASBO certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Special Knowledge/Skills: • Strong knowledge of public-school finance, including federal, state, and local funding mechanisms • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) guidelines • Proficiency with financial software systems and ERP platforms • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Knowledge of state and federal compliance and audit regulations • Ability to interpret complex financial data and convey information clearly to non-financial audiences • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills • Capacity to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines Experience: Minimum five to seven years of public finance or school district finance experience Experience managing diverse financial operations in a public-sector setting.

- $92,502.00 to $130,393.00
