- To direct and manage the district’s maintenance, construction, HVAC, energy management, and asbestos compliance operations. Ensure all district facilities are maintained in a safe, functional, and attractive condition that supports student learning and staff productivity. Provide leadership and technical support for in-house projects, bond-funded construction, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance. Oversee the district’s Asbestos Management Plan and coordinate required training and documentation.
- Qualifications
- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, facilities management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted Clear and valid Texas driver’s license AHERA Designated Person Certification (preferred or must be obtained within 12 months of hire) Special Knowledge/Skills: Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, construction, and energy systems Familiarity with AHERA regulations and asbestos inspection and management procedures Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and specifications Experience in HVAC operations and building automation controls Knowledge of state/local building codes and OSHA safety regulations Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills Bilingual (Spanish), preferred Experiences: Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in facility maintenance and construction Experience in HVAC systems, energy management, or public sector capital projects preferred
