About the Role: The Director of Management Information Services plays a vital leadership role within the Technology and Information Services Department. This position oversees the planning, execution, and evaluation of the district’s core data and software systems, including PEIMS, Student Systems, Business Systems, and Programmer Services. This is an opportunity to lead strategic technology initiatives that support every corner of the district—from classroom instruction to operational efficiency—ensuring that Round Rock ISD’s information systems are secure, efficient, and future-ready. Key Responsibilities: Oversee operations, personnel, and planning for the MIS division, ensuring reliable performance of student and business applications. Lead the acquisition, implementation, and maintenance of core information systems in collaboration with district leaders. Ensure the operational integrity, security, and productivity of computer systems supporting central office and campus operations. Develop and manage the MIS departmental budget, policies, and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations. Coordinate system updates and operational improvements with departments and stakeholders. Supervise and support MIS staff, including performance evaluation, hiring, and professional development. Foster collaboration across departments to ensure technology services meet academic and operational goals. Engage with external partners, including TEA, civic organizations, and community stakeholders, to promote district initiatives. Monitor data trends and compliance measures and develop reports to support district decision-making and improvement efforts.
- Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: At least five years of related experience, including a minimum of two years in a supervisory capacity.

- $123,188.08-$148,418.72
