- Summary Childress Junior High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a full-time Teacher and Head Baseball Coach. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive learning environment while promoting athletic excellence. This position offers the opportunity to inspire students academically and athletically, helping them develop skills that will benefit them both in the classroom and on the field. Responsibilities - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards. - Provide instruction in various subjects, ensuring students meet academic goals and learning objectives. - Assess and evaluate student performance, providing feedback and support to help them improve. - Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth. - Serve as the Head Baseball Coach, responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting baseball practices and games. - Develop training programs to enhance players' skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. - Collaborate with other coaches and school staff to promote a well-rounded athletic program. - Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration regarding academic and athletic progress. - Organize and oversee team events, including games, tournaments, and fundraising activities. - Uphold school policies and regulations, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. - Valid teaching certification for the appropriate grade level and subject area. - Valid Texas CDL with (S) and (P) endorsements - Proven experience coaching baseball at the middle school or high school level. - Strong knowledge of baseball techniques, strategies, and rules. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to motivate and inspire students both academically and athletically. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. - CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
