Description/Notes
To provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in both English Language Arts and Special Education to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. The teacher will develop lesson plans, accommodate diverse learning needs, and ensure compliance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Qualifications
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned Adjunct Teacher Preferred Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of core academic subject assigned General knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Knowledge of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation Knowledge of how to adapt curriculum and instruction for special needs Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Salary Range
$52,500.00 to $79,000.00 / Per Year
