- Position: Director Assignment: Director of CCMR & CTE Wage/Hour Status: Exempt Reports to: Chief Learning & Teaching Officer Pay Grade: AP680/240 days Dept./School: Career and Technology Date Revised: Spring 2025 Primary Purpose: To work as a capacity builder by providing systemic support of Lewisville’s vision, mission, and goals. Provide district leadership for College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) accountability outcomes by ensuring LISD course offerings and programs maximize student achievement of CCMR indicators as required by Texas Education Code and accountability standards. Responsible for implementing the innovative vision and establishing systems for program evaluation, data tracking on all CCMR efforts, CTE programs, and market the value of CTE within the LISD and business community. Ensures instructional content of all CTE programs is responsive to student needs and incorporates components of advanced learning, use of technology and entrepreneurship to keep pace with the workforce skills students need in a global society. Ensure that Career and Technical Education programs are implemented in collaboration with campus leadership and have appropriate evaluation measures to assess program effectiveness. Responsible for supporting campus leaders in implementing innovative CTE instruction through ensuring courses reflect industry standards and connect all students to authentic business opportunities and workplace learning. Assist in providing supervision over the career center personnel. Qualifications: Minimum Education/Certification: • Master’s degree from an accredited university • Valid Texas secondary certification • Administrative Certificate (preferred) Special Knowledge/Skills/Experience: • 5-8 years’ experience as a campus or district level instructional leader • Three years teaching experience in a secondary classroom • Experience in compliance with state and federal regulations governing CTE • Demonstrated success in improving CCMR outcomes and meeting state accountability standards • Experience with Texas accountability systems and CCMR indicator reporting • Collaborate and build enthusiasm with community, staff and students to create safe, nurturing, inclusive, and flexible learning environments • Deep understanding of CCMR accountability requirements, indicators, and reporting systems • Experience analyzing CCMR performance data and implementing improvement strategies to meet state benchmarks • Knowledge of Texas accountability system including outcomes bonus funding opportunities • Ability to interpret data and utilize findings for program improvement and CCMR achievement • Demonstrate innovation with curriculum and instructional design and coordinate district professional development that supports instructional design specific to CTE • Collaborate with the diverse Lewisville ISD community, staff, and students to use their strengths, resources, and talents to provide engaging, innovative experiences for all learners. • Create flexible systems that result in a learning organization supported by innovative and engaged staff • Develop and implement meaningful, varied assessments that inform and inspire students and educators for continuous improvement in a way that transforms learning and teaching • Strong working knowledge of federal and state CTE governance • Possess strong organizational, communication, public relations and interpersonal skills • Use leadership coaching skills fluently • Ability to manage state and federal budgets judiciously and proficiently • Ability to use a variety of technology tools for enhancing communication and learning Major Responsibilities and Duties: • Collaborate and consult with Accountability & Evaluation, Guidance & Counseling, and School Chiefs, and collegiate partners to improve CCMR achievement across the district under TEA guidelines, including program of study completion tracking, industry-based certification achievement and personal graduation plan implementation that ensures every student has a pathway to CCMR success. • Maintain strong relations with dual credit collegiate partners by continuously evaluating course offerings for students in curricular and CTE program pathways to meet CCMR indicators. • Research new areas of growth and opportunities to expand the Dual Credit offerings of LISD’s Career and Technology Education Campuses. • Support military readiness and JROTC district implementation. • Establish program handbooks, teacher training, and systems to ensure that all CTE courses and programs are innovative and student focused. • Evaluate student progress with systems that support improvement in findings to enhance the effectiveness of CTE programs. • Serve on local, regional and state committees related to CTE. • Encourage and support the development and implementation of innovative instructional programs to meet campus and district needs. • Ensure that student progress is evaluated on a regular, systematic basis, and the findings, including student achievement data and district assessments, are used to make the Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs more effective. • Assist with the development of marketing materials for the CTE Programs. • Ensure that CTE teachers have the necessary training and materials to improve participation and earning of student certifications. • Ensure that security measures are taken to protect students, staff, supplies, equipment in CTE classrooms, labs, and at the Agricultural Facility by implementing and conducting safety inspection plans. • Work cooperatively with principals and staff to select personnel for instructional assignments by assisting in the recruitment and selection, training, and supervision of all CTE department personnel placement, retention, discipline and dismissal. • Work with campus principals to organize, develop, and provide quality professional learning opportunities for campus leaders and CTE staff. • Remain current in the career and technology programs through organizational membership, conference attendance, analysis of current trends and current literature review. • Actively seek out and stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth. • Assist with CTE facility monitoring and coordination related to repairs and maintenance. • Develop parent and community education programs focused on CCMR requirements and pathways available through CTE programming • Create systems for parents and community members to provide feedback on CTE programs that lead toward continuous improvement. • Develop and implement parent programs focusing on building awareness of careers, certifications, pathways, and post-secondary training. • Develop and conduct informational sessions on the CTE programs to the community, college, and organizational settings. • Aggressively search for Community Partnerships to support CTE certifications and expand opportunities for student internship placement. • Collaborate with industry and workforce partners to ensure programs meet industry needs and provide job shadowing and work-based learning opportunities. • Assist in accurate reporting of CCMR indicator data through PEIMS and other state reporting systems • Monitor district CCMR performance against state benchmarks and support campus improvement strategies • Coordinate with campus leaders to address CCMR performance gaps and maximize outcomes bonus funding opportunities • Provide leadership and oversight of the implementation of state and federal rules and funding for CTE. • Verify all district data collected and reported for CTE (industry certifications for state accountability, PBMAS data, PEIMS submissions, etc.). Demonstrate knowledge and ability to interpret PEIMS data and supervise the accuracy of PEIMS reports for the department • Provide instructional support to secondary campuses for use and implementation of federal funding. • Collaborate to provide support to campuses for understanding and using data and information related to the state accountability system. • Supervise members of the CTE team and assigned department administrative support positions: CTE Administrators, Business Partnerships Administrator, Secretary to the Director of CCMR & CTE Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: • Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals • Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting • Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching • Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds) • May work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent district wide travel; occasional statewide travel and out-of-state travel • Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress OTHER: All employees are to follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
