- Instruct adult incarcerated students in the technical and soft skills needed to gain entry-level employment. Direct instruction will include how to operate greenhouses and improve the health of plants, various farming procedures, knowledge of plant propagation, field and chemical application equipment, safe application of pesticide and herbicide, and irrigation systems.
- Qualifications
- High School Diploma from an accredited high school or GED Equivalent. Five years full-time, wage-earning farming or horticulture experience within the last ten years. Experience in Hydroponics and Aquaponics preferred. Texas Nursery and Landscape Association (TNLA) Certified Landscape Associate preferred. Thirty semester hours from an accredited college, university, or technical school may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis with a maximum substitution of four years. *Windham School District must be able to issue a statement of qualification verifying work experience. This position requires personal technology that will enable the completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely.
- Salary Range
- Based on Experience: V0-20: 57,204 to 77,844
