District Overview Leverett’s Chapel ISD is a small, tight-knit rural East Texas district committed to academic excellence and community partnership. Beginning this fall, we’re rolling out the Bluebonnet Curriculum for K–5 ELA, and we need an experienced instructional leader to guide our teachers and principals through best practices and data-driven growth. Position Overview We’re seeking a proven instructional leader—ideally a retired principal or curriculum director—who’s passionate about raising student achievement. You will: • Coach classroom teachers on implementing research-backed instructional strategies, with an emphasis on K–5 ELA • Mentor principals to interpret assessment data and make informed, strategic decisions • Lead the development and management of our Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) programs • Design and oversee long-term instructional strategic plans aligned to district goals

Position Title: Instructional & Curriculum Specialist Location: Leverett’s Chapel ISD (East Texas, just south of Kilgore) Position Type: Full-time or Part-time (hybrid four-day week: Tuesday–Friday) Start Date: Immediate Compensation: Highly competitive with local administrator salaries Key Responsibilities • Teacher Support & Coaching o Model and co-teach high-impact lessons o Facilitate professional learning communities and workshops • Principal Mentorship o Train campus leaders in data analysis protocols o Provide one-on-one coaching on instructional leadership • Curriculum Implementation o Guide seamless adoption of the Bluebonnet ELA curriculum o Develop scope-and-sequence documents, pacing guides, and assessment maps • TIA & Strategic Planning o Oversee Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) development, ensuring fair and motivating allocation of funds for high-quality instruction o Craft multi-year instructional plans tied to performance metrics o Monitor progress and adjust strategies based on outcome data
Qualifications
Qualifications • Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field • Minimum of 5 years as a campus principal and/or curriculum director • Demonstrated success in coaching teachers and building leadership capacity • Expertise in data-driven decision-making, TIA program development, and instructional planning • Familiarity with Texas state standards and K–5 ELA best practices • Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills
