- Responsible for the district’s curriculum, instruction, and assessment function. Lead the strategic planning and implementation of curriculum and instruction programs. Ensure that the development and delivery of curriculum and instructional programs is effective and efficient, incorporates district goals, and supports student achievement. Oversee research, evaluation, and testing services for the district. Implement state and federally mandated student assessment programs and analyze and interpret results to identify student performance trends. Supervise and evaluate campus principals Supervise and evaluate district-level instructional supervisors and support staff for curriculum and special programs, including ESL/Bilingual, GT, Special Education, and Career and Technical education. Supervise and direct campus testing coordinators Qualifications: Master’s degree in education administration or related field from an accredited college or university Terminal degree preferred Texas Superintendent’s Certification preferred 3 years prior experience as a classroom teacher 3 years prior experiences as a campus administrator Prior experience as central office administrator preferred
