- Promote positive public relations between the school district and community. Prepare and provide information to the public about the activities, goals, and policies of the school district. Distribute pertinent information about the district and its activities to employees. Create, capture, and share compelling stories that highlight the achievements, events, and initiatives at Marble Falls ISD. Craft meaningful stories through photography, videography, and social media which will engage students, parents, district staff, and the wider community.
- Qualifications
- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or related field Special Knowledge/Skills: Excellent public relations, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the district Thorough knowledge of media relations and public relations functions Proficiency in photography, videography, and related editing software Capacity to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, and work independently Creative storytelling and content development Adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Passion for education and community engagement Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and word processing Demonstrated skills in writing, proofreading, editing, and desktop publishing Experience: 3 years journalism, professional multimedia journalism, content creation, or communications experience preferred

- Salary Start $63,996
