- The Director of Procurement is responsible for providing leadership, strategic oversight, and execution of all district purchasing operations, including bond-funded capital project management. This position ensures the efficient and compliant procurement of goods, services, and construction in accordance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) guidelines, state and federal laws, and Willis ISD Board policy. Responsibilities include competitive bidding, contract negotiations, vendor relations, and monitoring of all bond projects to ensure fiscal stewardship, timely completion, and alignment with district goals. The Executive Director will also lead the district’s purchasing team, manage procurement systems, and coordinate closely with facilities and construction management for bond-funded projects.
- Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years procurement experience. 5 years experience working in a Texas Public School environment is preferred. TASBO and/or CPPO/CPPB certification preferred. Knowledge of the TEA Accounting System (FARSG) code and a working knowledge of the invitation to bid, request for proposal, request for information, and request for quote process.

- Admin Pay Grade 5- per the Willis ISD Administrative - Professional Pay Scale - please contact Travis Utecht at tutecht@willisisd.org for more information. Minimum - $85,165
