Located in East Texas between the communities of LaRue and Poynor, our district spans 150 square miles and serves approximately 500 students across three campuses. - Qualifications
- Qualifications & Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate: • Holds a valid Texas Superintendent Certification (Superintendent experience preferred) • A professional educator with classroom and administrative experience, committed to high standards • Demonstrates strong knowledge of budgeting and public school finance • Proven success in curriculum development and data-driven instructional strategies for diverse student populations • Committed to working collaboratively with the Board of Trustees, parents, and community to uphold LaPoynor ISD’s values • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of making and defending difficult decisions in the best interest of students and the district • A fair and effective leader with experience supervising staff, setting goals, conducting evaluations, fostering growth, and recruiting and retaining high-quality personnel
