Description/Notes
Primary Purpose: To provide leadership and support in the area(s) of ASCENDER Student and Business consulting and software support for the ASCENDER SIS, ERP, and state-mandated “PEIMS” Data Reporting. Assist in creating and managing the internal training process for Region 10 ASCENDER consultants. Work closely with the Assistant Director of Information Services to coordinate processes and procedures for Region 10 ASCENDER consultants and the Texas Computer Coooperative. Specific Responsibilities and Duties for the ASCENDER Coordinator Support Assists in maintaining ASCENDER support training schedules for optimal ticket coverage, internal training program, and district training requirements. Provides support for school districts and Region 10 support staff using the following methods: helpdesk phone calls and emails, consultations, implementation, workshops, and training sessions. Attend and participate in county business managers’ meetings as requested. Inform users of changes related to software and school accounting principles in a timely manner. Implement ASCENDER-specific support procedures for all ASCENDER Consultants. Training and Troubles Trains school district personnel in properly, effectively, and efficiently using the ASCENDER Student and Business Software. Coordinates the preparation of materials, media, and presentation data for workshops. Guides the presentation of information in workshops and training sessions. Train internal staff on the SIS/ERP software and reporting tools. Prepares documentation for internal training of ASCENDER Consultants. Works with the Assistant Director to create and execute an internal training timeline and requirements for new and existing consultants per the software application. Manage customer support training and troubleshooting for the Exchange and internal ASCENDER Staff. Quality Service Objectives Provides customers with subject matter expertise. Leads the enhancement of problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Leads the enhancement of customer service skills. Anticipates and prepares for the timeline of districts’ responsibilities. Presents demonstrations for potential customers. Test software releases. Lead conversions of LEAs moving to ASCENDER. Coordinates communication with PEIMS Coordinator to monitor changes and updates to state requirements. Works collaboratively with Technology & Data Services team members on projects. Other duties may be assigned by the Assistant Director of Information Services. Customer Service Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring prompt and courteous communication. Respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and provide accurate information regarding services, policies, or procedures. Maintain a customer-focused approach by actively listening, empathizing, and delivering solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
Qualifications
Education/Certifications: High School Diploma College degree preferred Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience. Minimum of three (3) years of experience leading, supporting, or training within student information or ERP systems. Texas school district experience preferred. Ability to learn the ASCENDER SIS and ERP software based on Region 10 and/or TCC training requirements. PEIMS experience required.
Salary Range
$70,000-$104,000 - Salary estimate based on experience and skill set.
